Scott consults primarily in the areas of business planning and management team effectiveness. He is a skilled facilitator and speaker with broad direct management experience, including an extensive background in strategic planning and marketing. He is regarded as a visionary with the ability to tackle complex business and organizational problems in a logical and systematic way.

Scott has very diverse professional experience spanning over 25 years that includes:

Executive level roles in general management, marketing, engineering, strategic planning, sales management and business development.

Extensive global experience including living in Singapore for 5 years, building distribution channels in Asia-Pacific, working with JV partners in China, Korea and Japan and negotiating large contracts with global companies worldwide.

 

Fortune 100-sized companies and high tech start-ups (Monsanto, Emerson Electric, Fisher-Rosemount, OneRealm).

8+ years as a VP with Emerson—a company widely respected and benchmarked for its planning, management and organizational development processes.

Involvement with several successful mergers and acquisitions.

State-of-art knowledge of e-Business—both as a supplier and a purchaser.

Extensive involvement with high tech and industrial products and services.

In depth knowledge of several industry verticals including energy, discrete and process manufacturing and professional services.

Successful business development with large, complex global companies.

Scott has degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Additionally, he attended an Advanced Management Program focused on global business management at INSEAD in Fontainbleau, France and was selected to participate in an extensive program at the Aspen Institute entitled “Leaders of the 21st Century”. Scott is certified on the Insights Discovery System, Side by Side® Organizational and Team Leadership and Virtual CEOTM.
